Youth Cultural Exchange Programme

A Youth Cultural Exchange Programme was successfully held at YMCA Jaffna on 27th and 28th October. Members representing various Indian YMCAs visited YMCA Jaffna to participate in this meaningful event aimed at fostering friendship and cultural understanding.

The programme commenced with a visit to the Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, joined by YMCA Jaffna members. This was followed by a vibrant Cultural Evening, which provided delightful entertainment for all. During the event, the YMCA Jaffna Newsletter was formally released, and a memento was presented to YMCA Jaffna by the visiting Indian YMCA delegation as a token of goodwill. The evening concluded with a warm Fellowship Dinner, enhancing the spirit of unity and togetherness.

On the second day, the delegation visited the Jaffna Public Library and Jaffna Fort, accompanied by YMCA members. Later in the evening, a friendly cricket match was held between YMCA Jaffna members and the Indian YMCA youth, adding a sporting spirit to the exchange.

The two-day programme created many cherished memories and will be remembered as a significant and heartwarming event in the history of YMCA Jaffna.
