Best Performance Award to the Candidates of GCE A/L 2017: Northern Province

The Best Performance Awarding Ceremony was conducted on Saturday 25^th August 2018 at 4.00pm sponsored by the Direct Family Financial Support Canada (DFFSC), an NGO headed by Mr.M.C.Francis of Toronto, Canada.

Hon. Dr Kandiah Sarveswaran (Minister of Education, Cultural Affairs, Sports and Youth Affairs, Northern Province) was the Chief Guest and Pro. S. Ratnajeevan H Hoole (Member, Election Commission) was the Guest of Honour , Mr.Ponnampalam Thayananthan ( Divisional Secretary/ District Registrar, Divisional Secretariat, Jaffna) Mr.S.Suntharasivam (Zonal Director of Education, Jaffna) Mr. S.E.Reginold (Senior Assistant Registrar/ Admissions, University of Jaffna) were the Special Guests.

The following Awards were given:

First Rank: Rs. 35,000/= Cash Prize, Shield & Certificate for students of GCE A/L Examination 2017, Northern Province
Second Rank: Rs. 25,000/= Cash Prize, Shield & Certificate for students of GCE A/L Examination 2017, Northern Province
Poobalasingam Debate Shield to the winner of Inter School Debate each Participant will receive a cash voucher of Rs. 5,000/=
Arumuganavalar Award and a Cash Award of Rs. 40,000/= to a Teacher who has served in an undeveloped Area for more than fifteen Years
Trilingual Award Rs. 25,000/= each for a Male and Female
Best All-rounder Award Rs. 35,000/= each for a Male and Female
Best Medical Student Rs. 35,000/= at University of Jaffna
Best Physical & Science Student Rs. 35,000/= at University of Jaffna
Best Engineering Student Rs. 35,000/= at University of Jaffna
